Thursdays 19.45–20.45. Kaiut Yoga for Joint Mobility and Wellbeing

About Me

I was born in Vicenza, Italy, and moved to Ireland shortly after finishing school, where I lived in Dublin for almost four years. After returning to Italy, I eventually settled in Basel, Switzerland, where I’ve been living for the past 16 years.

What Inspires Me

I’m a communicative, dynamic, honest, and loyal person who deeply values humor, joy, and connection. I find energy and balance through time in nature, caring for animals, and staying active in ways that nurture both body and mind. My love for movement, well-being, and meaningful relationships naturally led me to yoga.

My Kaiut Yoga Journey

My journey with Kaiut Yoga began in 2017, when I completed my first 100-hour teacher training in Amsterdam. From the very first classes, I felt how this method could open the body and calm the mind in a way unlike anything I had practiced before. It helped me release tension, enhance joint mobility, and experience a deeper sense of peace and presence. Inspired by these benefits, I started teaching Kaiut Yoga to a group of employees at the company where I worked. Seeing how consistent practice nurtured both physical and emotional resilience confirmed my desire to keep learning and sharing this method.

Continuing Education

In November 2025, I completed a 368-hour Kaiut Yoga teacher training as part of my ongoing education. This experience deepened my understanding of the Kaiut method and strengthened my dedication to guiding others with mindfulness, compassion, and curiosity.

My Teaching Approach

I see yoga as an opportunity to create a space where people can slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and rediscover a natural sense of ease. My classes are gentle, mindful, and accessible—designed to support each person in moving toward more comfort, freedom, and presence in daily life.

About Kaiut Yoga

Kaiut Yoga is a biomechanical yoga practice developed by Francisco Kaiut in Brazil.
The exercises focus primarily on being present in the moment in order to bring more flexibility to the joints.
The stiffness of the joints, which is often not even consciously perceived, can have a negative impact on the entire movement sequence and the overall body awareness.

In today's world, this type of yoga also fulfills another important task: it not only acts as a healing impulse in the broadest sense, but also helps to create a new self-awareness and has an additional calming and nourishing effect on our nervous system.

Lost mobility can be restored. We become more present in ourselves and our bodies.
This modern approach to yoga helps us to achieve a better quality of life. The practice aims to experience physical and mental well-being as well as good mobility and relaxation.

A greater presence in the body opens the way for an opening in the whole being. We learn how to deal better with mental and emotional pressure. Old behavioral patterns are deactivated. New, creative paths open up. We experience how brilliant we are when we are less in our own way. This automatically leads to deeper confidence and a more stable sense of self-worth.

Kaiut Yoga is for people of all ages. The practice usually takes place on the floor at a slow pace and is suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners.
