Welcome to Yin Yoga! The wisdom and psychology of Yin Yoga and the 5 Elements can help us to see patterns, release limiting believes, supports us in changing our mindset and finding more balance and ease in our life. Yin Yoga is a practice that combines Yoga asana, meditation and the wisdom of the Chinese 5 element system. As our lifestyle is very demanding and at a fast pace, Yin Yoga and its philosophy can bring us great inner peace and balance.
Yin stands for calmness, femininity and softness. The focus of this type of yoga is the discovery of one’s own body and the connection to oneself through feeling, breath and observation. In this Intensive you will learn many supportive tools; not only for your yin practice but also for your daily live. Get to know yourself, change your mindset and find balance!
In this intensive we will dive into following topics:
- A brief History of Yin Yoga
- The Chinese 5 elements system; philosophy & psychology of the elements
- How the 5 elements relate to one another & how to use them to create balance
- Positive affirmations to change your mindset
- The three principals of Yin Yoga
- Meridians and connective tissue
- Target areas of each element: poses per element
- Injuries and pains and how to deal with them in Yin Yoga
- The difference between Yang and Yin
- One class per element specifically designed for this training
Join if you love Yin Yoga and want to know more about it. Join if you would like to start a
self-practice. Join if you are a yoga teacher looking to deepen your knowledge or wanting to
teach Yin. Join if you want to see and break your patterns and acquire tools to find more
balance. Join just for fun.
If you are already a Yoga teacher and are wanting to teach Yin Yoga, you will be able to start
after this intensive, however it is not a full training and you won`t obtain a certificate.
