DEEPER (y) IN : A 50 Hr Yin Yoga Training

This training will include but is not limited to…  

  •  A Brief introduction to the history of and a modern context of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) 

  • 5 Element Theory, Associated Seasons, Organs (yin and yang), and the corresponding emotional, mental, and physiological qualities as they play out in a deficient, excessive, or in balance nature, and working with these concepts to support your life and well-being.

  • Tips, Tricks, and Tools to support your life according to season using plants, herbs, foods, essential oils, etc

  • The 12 main meridian lines of the body

  • The main fascia lines and how to use the yin practice to support mobility and functionality of the body

  • Brief History of Yin Yoga

  • How the yin poses and sequences correspond to 5 element theory, associated meridian lines, and bringing it together for health and harmony.

  • How to teach, support, and share 26 variations of yin poses including the Progression and Regression setups for different levels of students needs.

  • Katonah Yoga Restorative setups and discussing the difference

  • Breathwork and Guided Meditation Practices including Nidra

  • Small group work, embodiment practices, and teaching the material

  • 5 x package for yin classes at TLG

    1,350 chf Normal Pricing thereafter (January 6th)

Xavier Fricker is a licensed acupuncturist with his own clinic in Basel. He lived in Beijing (China) for seven years, where he studied at the Beijing University for Chinese Medicine.

Since 2012, Xavier Fricker has been organizing and instructing further education courses in the field of Chinese Medicine, with a focus on acupuncture.

Since 2016, Xavier Fricker has also worked as a Chinese-German interpreter at the largest TCM congress in Europe, the "TCM Kongress Rothenburg”.

In February 2017, Xavier Fricker's article "A Review of the Ancient Concepts of Chinese Medicine," co-authored with Robert Doane and Dr. Marcus Gadau, was published in the prestigious Journal of Chinese Medicine.

He looks forwards to sharing his passion of TCM and bringing practical applications of this Tradition to life with the Students at The Looking Glass Basel.
